CMS have experience in all steps of the CDM Project Cycle including CDM feasibility assessment, preparation of project idea note, preparation of project design document, project validation, host country approval, CDM Executive Board approval and negotiating and structuring an Emission Reduction Purchase Agreement (ERPA). New Zealand and Australian companies developing renewable energy, energy-efficiency, or fuel switching projects in other countries may wish to capture additional revenue streams from Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). JI Project Development
CMS can assist New Zealand companies with projects in New Zealand which have been awarded AAUs/ERUs under the Projects to Reduce Emissions (PRE) mechanism with developing the projects. We have experience in all steps of the JI project cycle including preparation of Project Idea Note (PIN), preparation of Project Design Document (PDD), Validation, New Zealand Host Country approval, Emission Reduction Purchase Agreement (ERPA) negotiation, Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee approval and project verification. CMS has specific experience in working with the following types of emission reduction projects:

- Coal-Mine Methane Projects
CMS assists development of voluntary market emission reduction projects to generate verified emission reductions (VERs) following JI procedures where host country approval is not required.
