Track Record

Track Record

From 2004, CMS has successfully completed a wide range of carbon transactions, under the Kyoto Protocol's mechanisms, such as JI and CDM, as well as in the voluntary market. Samples of those transactions are identified below. Additionally, when the New Zealand Emission Trading Scheme (NZ-ETS) came into force in 2008, early into the scheme, CMS successfully concluded a 1 million AAU deal into the EU-ETS from a forestry client participating in the NZETS.

Since 2008, CMS has actively participated with its clients in meeting their obligations under the NZETS as well as assisting some of those clients with the importation of ERUs into the scheme in order for them to surrender those units. Even though both the international and domestic carbon markets rapidly declined during this period until the present time, CMS has been fortunate to continue assisting its loyal clients with meeting their obligations under the NZETS on a monthly basis.
